Italian institutions accept a Ukrainian document together with a translation that carries an apostille of its own. So there are two apostilles:

What it is most often for
Residence and family reunification
Permesso di soggiorno, ricongiungimento familiare: birth certificates and the marriage certificate — with an apostille and a legalised translation.
Citizenship
Usually a birth certificate and a police clearance certificate with an apostille — we obtain the certificate without you travelling.
Study
A school leaving certificate, diploma or academic transcript with the Ministry of Education apostille and an Italian translation.
Old or laminated document
It cannot be apostilled. We obtain a duplicate certificate with an apostille — 7,200 UAH, 2–2.5 weeks.

Frequently asked questions
What is a double apostille?
The first apostille goes on the original document, the second on the notarized translation. That makes a translation done in Ukraine legalised and usable for Italian institutions.
How much does it cost?
An apostille on the document (Ministry of Justice 1,200 UAH, Ministry of Education from 1,600 UAH), translation from 500 UAH, notarization 500 UAH, and a Ministry of Justice apostille on the translation — 1,200 UAH. We confirm the exact amount from photos.
How long does it take?
The first apostille, on a civil registry certificate, takes about 14 calendar days; the second, on the notarized translation, 2–3 days. Including the translation, allow about three weeks.
Is this translation suitable for a marriage in Italy?
No, marriage registration has different requirements. Write to us before ordering and we will advise.
Do I have to travel to Ukraine?
No. We obtain duplicate certificates and police clearance without you, and a document you already have can be sent by Nova Poshta. We send the finished documents to Italy.
