Apostille on Ukrainian documents
The stamp that makes a Ukrainian document valid abroad. Three different ministries issue it, depending on what the document is — we handle the submission for you.
Which ministry issues it
Ministry of Justice
Civil registry documents — birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates — notarial documents, powers of attorney, court decisions.
1,200 UAH
About 2 weeks; court decisions 2–3 days. Prices and requirements →
Ministry of Education
Diplomas, school certificates, transcripts and academic records.
from 1,600 UAH

Police clearance certificate
Apostilled by the Information Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs — a different authority, hence a different fee. We can also order the certificate for you — no need to visit a service centre.

How to order an apostille
Details by ministry: Ministry of Education apostille — diplomas and school certificates · Ministry of Justice apostille — civil registry, notarial and court documents
Ministry of Education apostille — price by format and turnaround
The card above says “from 1,600 UAH” because the Ministry charges on two things: the format of the document and how fast you need it back.
New format — documents issued from 2000 onwards
These are already in the state register. The Ministry checks the record and stamps the apostille without a separate verification — hence the short turnaround.
| Turnaround | Per document |
|---|---|
| 10 working days | 1,600 UAH |
| 4 working days | 2,400 UAH |
| 1 working day | 4,000 UAH |
Old format — documents issued before 2000
These are not in the register. The Ministry separately verifies the signature, the seal and the official who signed the document. Hence the longer turnaround.
| Turnaround | Per document |
|---|---|
| 30 working days | 1,000 UAH |
| 20 working days | 2,200 UAH |
Requirements for civil registry documents
Do you actually need one?
An apostille is required for most countries in the Hague Convention. It is not required for countries that have a legal assistance treaty with Ukraine — Czechia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and several others. For those, a notarized translation is enough.
