Duplicate Ukrainian divorce certificate from abroad
We obtain a duplicate of your Ukrainian divorce document from anywhere in Ukraine. You do not need to travel — we work remotely.
When you need it
A new marriage abroad
Almost every country requires proof that the previous marriage was dissolved before it will register a new one.
The document is lost
The certificate is lost or stayed at home with no one to collect it.
An apostille is required
It cannot be placed on an old or damaged copy.
Divorced through a court
If the marriage was dissolved by a court, you need the court decision — we can obtain that too.
What we need from you
- A scan or photo of your passport
- The full names of both former spouses, the date and place of the marriage registration
- The approximate date of the divorce and the office or court that granted it
- The address the finished document should be sent to
We prepare everything required to approach the civil registry office on your behalf. Your presence in Ukraine is not needed.
How it works
- You send the details — we check that they are enough to find the registry entry.
- We prepare the documents needed for the request.
- We apply to the civil registry office where the divorce was registered.
- We collect the duplicate and, if you need it, have the apostille added straight away.
- The finished document is sent to your address in Ukraine or abroad.
Price and timeline
Not everyone needs an apostille. If the document is for use in Ukraine, or in a country that has a legal assistance treaty with Ukraine, it is not required. Tell us where you are submitting it and we will say whether you need one — check your country.
Duplicate, apostille and translation in one order
If the document is going abroad, it makes sense to do all three steps together: the duplicate, the apostille from the Ministry of Justice and a notarized translation into the language you need. The apostille stamp is translated as well. One order, one delivery, no shipping the document back and forth.
Is a duplicate as good as the original?
Yes. A duplicate (in Ukrainian, povtorne svidotstvo) is not a copy. It is a new certificate on a blank form, issued from the same registry entry, with the same legal force. In practice it is often accepted more readily than a worn Soviet-era original.
