Power of attorney translation
We translate foreign powers of attorney into Ukrainian so that a Ukrainian notary, bank or authority accepts them — and Ukrainian powers of attorney for use abroad, with the Ministry of Justice apostille.
The two most common cases
A power of attorney signed abroad
You live abroad, and someone in Ukraine needs to sell your flat, re-register a car or collect documents for you. A power of attorney from a foreign notary is accepted in Ukraine only with a Ukrainian translation certified by a notary.
A Ukrainian power of attorney for abroad
A power of attorney from a Ukrainian notary goes to a foreign authority. It needs a Ministry of Justice apostille on the original and a translation into the local language together with the apostille.
What to check before translation
- An apostille on the foreign power of attorney. A document from a foreign notary usually needs an apostille from the country where it was signed — without it, a Ukrainian notary will not certify the translation. The exception is countries with a legal assistance treaty with Ukraine, such as the Czech Republic or Hungary.
- Names and details. The principal’s name follows their international passport, and the attorney’s details follow their Ukrainian documents. Send photos of both.
- Completeness. We translate everything: the text, the powers granted, the validity period, the notary’s certificate, seals and the apostille.
How it works
A photo is enough for a quote. The apostille and notarization need the original: bring it to our office or send it by Nova Poshta — we return it the same way.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a power of attorney translation cost?
From 500 UAH per page plus 500 UAH for notarization. A Ministry of Justice apostille on a Ukrainian power of attorney is 1,200 UAH. We confirm the exact amount from a photo.
Will a power of attorney from a foreign notary be accepted in Ukraine?
Yes, if it carries an apostille from the country where it was signed (or the two countries have a legal assistance treaty) and comes with a Ukrainian translation certified by a notary. The final decision rests with the institution you submit it to.
Ukrainian power of attorney: apostille or translation first?
The apostille. The Ministry of Justice places it on the original, and we then translate the document together with the apostille.
Does a power of attorney from a Ukrainian consulate need a translation?
No. It is written in Ukrainian and is valid in Ukraine without an apostille or a translation.
Can I order without coming to Zhytomyr?
Yes. Send photos by Telegram, WhatsApp or email, and the original by Nova Poshta. We send the finished documents back the same way, within Ukraine or abroad.
